Lora was born in 1770 to a merchant seaman and his selkie wife in a little place on the Isle of Skye that probably doesn't exist anymore. She was still very young when her mother was able to return to the sea, taking her with her. She has an adventurous spirit, and perhaps being born just as the world was growing smaller made her so. She'll go anywhere, but never be far from the water.
I don't have a specific timeline for her, just keeping it loose. She's had great loves, and not so great ones. But she always wants it to be known that no matter who might hold her skin, she belongs to herself, first and foremost. |
